"Won Me Over" is an unreleased song by rapper G-Eazy featuring now ex-girlfriend Lana Del Rey. The song was originally intended for G-Eazy's 2017 album The Beautiful & Damned, but was scrapped due to the pair's split.[S 1] It is currently unknown who produced the song as it is not registered to any known copyright service.
Background and composition[]
The song's existence was revealed after it was put up for sale on a website. A snippet leaked on February 19, 2023, and an extended version of this snippet leaked on September 2. The full song leaked on July 4, 2024.
This song is one of two that Del Rey and G-Eazy collaborated on for his album, the other being "Pray for Me", of which Del Rey has uncredited backing vocals.[S 2]
On July 5, 2024, a reworked version of the song by Goody Grace featuring Madison Love leaked. This version leaked with the identifier "V7", suggesting it could be the seventh version of the song. Metadata on the leaked file also attributed the song to have been recorded in 2019. The chorus sung by Love and Del Rey in their respective versions features an interpolation of the song "Head Over Feet" by Alanis Morissette. G-Eazy would later rework his verses into his feature on Delacey's "Cruel Intentions", a track on her 2020 album Black Coffee.
