The Phenomena of Lizzy Grant is a mixtape recorded by Lana Del Rey. Contents of the tape were recorded from 2005 to 2007. Del Rey allegedly shared the mixtape with a friend.

Background[]

There is limited comprehension of the mixtape's history due to a dearth of information on it. The first time it was mentioned was when "Rahab II" was uploaded to SoundCloud on December 26, 2018. It's rumored that the project's goal was to locate producers for Lana Del Ray, which is comparable to the goal of No Kung Fu.

The first songs on the mixtape to surface online were "A Star for Nick", "Money Hunny", and a demo version of "Pawn Shop Blues" which were uploaded by Del Rey on Myspace in 2006. On April 6, 2012 "Rahab" leaked and on December 26, 2018, the song's alternate mix "Rahab II" leaked.

The tape's original folder name was "LG demo 011007." Depending on the date format used, the digits at the end most likely indicate that the tape was made either on January 10, 2007, or October 1, 2007. It is mainly believed that the creation date of the tape is the former, considering the majority of the tape was recorded in 2006, which is closer to January 2007.

Del Rey in 2012 announced that she was going to "re-release it, maybe in late summer".[1] However, nothing came out of this statement and the re-release has most likely been scrapped.
