"The Last Song" is a song by Brian Wilson written by Wilson and Joe Thomas. It was released on Wilson's album No Pier Pressure on April 7, 2015. It serves as the closing track for both standard and deluxe edition of the album.
Background
During July, 2014, Wilson announced a potential guest appearance by Lana Del Rey on his next album. On July 18 it was confirmed by Rolling Stone the title of the song was "The Last Song".[1] Any of Del Rey's contribution to the track was cut for the release of the song.
