Spencer Susser.

Spencer Susser (born 1977) is an American film director, screenwriter, editor and producer. He is the only American member of the Australian filmmaking collective Blue-Tongue Films.[1][2]

Career[edit | edit source]

Susser is known for his participation in several projects, which include full-length films The Greatest Showman (2017 - editor) and Hesher (2010 - director, screenwriter and producer), plus short films I Love Sarah Jane (2008 - director, screenwriter, editor and producer) and The Captain (2013 - director, screenwriter and editor).[3]

Work with Lana Del Rey[edit | edit source]

In 2012, he directed the video for Lana Del Rey's song "Summertime Sadness", alongside Kyle Newman. He also photographed Del Rey and Jaime King on set.[4]

During the video shoot, extra material was recorded, which was later added to the Paradise trailer. In addition, the remaining footage was used to construct the original video for "Bel Air."[5]
