"Roses Bloom for You" is a song by Lana Del Rey. It was written by Del Rey and produced by Rick Nowels. The song was recorded for her upcoming fifth studio album and fourth major-label studio album, Lust for Life, but it didn't make the track.
Background and writing
On June 3, 2017, Del Rey posted a video to her Instagram page of a recording session with the caption "So many songs left on the cutting room floor but this was a special one I wrote in March called 'Roses bloom for you' I don't film all my live takes but I'm glad I got this one because I was very excited about the beautiful chords my producer Rick Nowels found for this gem."[1] On the same day, she also posted another short snippet of the recording session on her Instagram story. Both the snippets were later removed from her Instagram profile.
Cross-references
- Roses are commonly mentioned in Del Rey's work, such as in "Guns and Roses", "Bel Air", and the song of the same name.

Lyrics
[Snippet]:
Lilacs in my mind, all the time
Are blooming beautifully
Even though some stare and say
Her last affair went brutally
Well I don't let them rain on my parade
That's not my thing
'Cause I've got love on my side, now
I've got nothing to hide, now
And now life's a dream
