No Kung Fu is a demo EP recorded by Lana Del Rey in 2007. Six of the tracks were leaked on February 10, 2012,[1][2] followed by a seventh track, a demo of "Mermaid Motel", which leaked on July 1, 2017.
Background[]
When the first six demos leaked, the uploader explained that they had received the tracks via an unlabelled CD-ROM that came with a handwritten note titling the collection as "No Kung Fu Demos." They advised that the demos eventually found their way to David Kahne, who would go on to produce Del Rey's first studio album Lana Del Ray.[2]
Only two songs from the demo tape were not included on Del Rey's debut album: "Get Drunk" and "Jimmy Gnecco".
