The song was originally referred to as Puppy Love by Lana on Facebook, and was originally leaked under the same title, but is officially registered as Marilyn Monroe. It is registered to the International Standard Music Work Code wherein an alternate title of Puppy Love is given. The song was written and produced by Del Rey and Justin Parker in 2010, and leaked May 31, 2012.
