"Maha Maha" (also known as "Maha" and "Bollywood Hawaii") is an unreleased song by Lana Del Rey. It was co-written and produced by Princess Superstar.

Background

The track was recorded in 2009 in the same session as "Live Forever", "Moi Je Joue" and "Catch and Release". According to Princess Superstar, it is both her and Del Rey's favorite track the two did together.

The first studio demo leaked on July 15, 2013 and a second home recorded demo titled "Bollywood Hawaii" leaked September 17, 2013. On July 28, 2013, Princess Superstar uploaded the final version of the song to her SoundCloud. All three versions of the song contain different vocal takes, production and lyrics.

Cross-references

Many songs reference a lover leaving, such as "Ride", "Flipside" and "Pretty When You Cry".
Supernatural beings are seen at the end of Tropico, and the supernatural is referenced in "Raise Me Up (Mississippi South)".
Del Rey also uses French lyrics in "Carmen" and references the country in "Take Me to Paris" and "St. Tropez".
The line "I need your love" from the first demo can also be found in "The Blackest Day" and "Religion".
