In the cock, in the cock, in the cockpit, I'm your pilot

Flying high, flying so high, we just cruise

I believe that you will take me, here in the cockpit

The Mile High Club is shooking

On your cock, I'm your rock, and I'm rolling on you

On your cock, I'm your rock, and I'm rolling on you

Oh, Jack I really love these chords

Showing you my chest, in my party dress

This song's a hot mess, but I...

Oh, thanks for nothing

Baby, I'm the best; I got tested

And I passed, yes

Jack, I really love these chords

I just wanted you to know, yeah

But not as much as I love Churchome

The taste, the taste, the way we taste

It all comes down to this

Jack, I love these chords

The taste, the taste, the taste is gonna move ya

It all comes down to this

Jack, I love these chords

"Love Song" (stylized in sentence case) is a song by Lana Del Rey. The song is featured on Del Rey's sixth studio album, Norman Fucking Rockwell!.

Background

Del Rey posted a snippet of the song to Instagram on January 1, 2019.[1] The untitled snippet was tentatively known as "In Your Car" by fans.

On July 30th, fans discovered the official title was "Love Song" after using Shazam to identify the snippet from Instagram.

This was the first song to be recorded for Norman Fucking Rockwell! as well as the song that made Del Rey want to collaborate with Jack Antonoff for the album.[2]

Music video

Del Rey spoke about a possible music video for the track during an Instagram livestream on September 4, 2019. She said, "I feel like 'Love Song' is the kind of song you have to have a video for, to realize that it's kinda special—cause otherwise it's pretty stark." She continued she had an idea for it saying, "I'd like to paint it, like have a painted video, like a Monet that came to life."

Lyrics

<poem> In the car, in the car In the backseat, I'm your baby We go fast, we go so fast, we don't move I believe in a place you take me Make you real proud of your baby

In your car, I'm a star and I'm burnin' through you In your car, I'm a star and I'm burnin' through you

Oh, be my once in a lifetime Lying on your chest, in my party dress I'm a fucking mess but I Oh, thanks for the high life Baby, it's the best, passed the test And yes, now I'm here with you and I

Would like to think that you would stick around You know that I just die to make you proud The taste, the touch, the way we love It all comes down to make the sound of our love song

Dream a dream, here's a scene Touch me anywhere 'cause I'm your baby Grab my waist, don't waste any part I believe that you see me for who I am So spill my clothes on the floor of your new car

Is it safe, is it safe, to just be who we are? Is it safe, is it safe, to just be who we are?

Oh, be my once in a lifetime Lying on your chest, in my party dress I'm a fucking mess but I Oh, thanks for the high life Baby, it's the best, passed the test And yes, now I'm here with you and I

Would like think that you would stick around You know that I just die to make you proud The taste, the touch, the way we love It all comes down to make the sound of our love song

The taste, the touch, the way we love It all comes down to make the sound of our love song </poem
