"Let My Hair Down" (also known as "You Make Me Wanna") is an unreleased song by Lana Del Rey. It was recorded in 2007 and leaked on August 21, 2013. The song is speculated to be "Dance Man",[1] which was unclearly confirmed by one of Del Rey's former bandmembers. It is speculated to be an outtake from Lana Del Ray.[S 1]
Background[]
The song was recorded on January 14, 2007, at Studio 356, where Del Rey also recorded various takes of "Disco", "Oh Say Can You See", "For K, Pt. 2", "Get Drunk", and "Raise Me Up (Mississippi South)". These are known as the Studio 356 Sessions and were performed with Del Rey's band, Lizzy Grant and the Phenomena.
There were three takes of "Let My Hair Down". The first take of the song was posted to bandmember Adamo "Tags" Taglia's YouTube channel on August 21, 2013. On January 23, 2015, the second take of the song leaked as well as an outtake and the previously leaked take in higher quality.
