"Hit & Run" (sometimes "Hit and Run" or "Hit it & Run") is an unreleased song by Lana Del Rey. It was recorded in 2010 and leaked on November 10, 2012. The song was written with Markus Sepehrmanesh and produced by Tommy Tysper. It is not registered on BMI, ASCAP, or any other service.

Background

The chorus, long believed to have featured uncredited male backing vocals, is Del Rey's voice pitched down through vocal effects.

An alternate second version of the song leaked on May 5, 2013. It surfaced from Tysper's SoundCloud account and was labeled as "Hit It & Run".^[1] The instrumental of the song has also been leaked. A demo of the song, titled "Criminals Run the World", leaked on January 19, 2014.
