Del Rey has long been a fan of Nina Simone, previously covering the song "The Other Woman", popularised by the singer on the album Ultraviolence. When asked if she was still writing everything, Del Rey revealed she had covered "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" and would feature it on the album.[1]
