Lyrics

Version one

(A-M-E-R-I-C-A)

(Ah-ah, day)

Come when you call me
Come when you call me

Just thought you'd wanna know why
Just thought you sound so nice
I can do whatever I want
You can do whatever you
This is like I always wanted
Just like I always knew

Riding around town
Have a night life
Have a night life
Hand to hand
Gun to gun
Now we're gonna have some fun

(Hey, yeah)

Come when you call me
Come when you call me

Guess what? I wanna know why
Just thought you sound so nice

(Hey, yeah)

Riding around town
Have a night life
(Have a night life)

I know what you been looking for
I think I got all that and more
I think I know what you been trying
Saying, "Everybody wants a little time."

Come when you call me
Come when you

(A-M-E-R-I-C-A)

Guess what? I wanna know why
Just thought you sound so nice

(A-M-E-R-I-C-A)

I can do whatever I want
You can do whatever you
This is like I always wanted
Just like I always knew

(Tell me a story, daddy)

Come when you call me
Come when you

(A-M-E-R-I-C-A)

You can say whatever you gonna say about me
(A-M-E-R-I-C-A)
You can say whatever you gonna say about me
(A-M-E-R-I-C-A)

You can say whatever you gonna say about me
(I like you, I like)
(A-M-E-R-I-C-A)

(A-M-E)
(A-M-E)

Stay in your room, get in your bed
Maybe they can get me inside your head

(A-M-E-R-I-C-A)

(Tell me a story, daddy)

Version two

(Tell me a story, daddy)

(La-ah, day, day)

Come when you call me
Come when you call me

Guess what? I wanna know why
Just thought you sound so nice

(Hey, yeah)

I can do whatever I want
You can do whatever you
This is like I always wanted
Just like I always knew

Riding around town
Have a night life
Have a night life
Hand to hand
God's are gone
Now we're gonna have some fun

(Hey, yeah)

Come when you call me
Come when you call me

White Lincoln Continental
Will you pick me up from my motel?
Take me down to Citgo, child
Charlie wants to meet you

(Hey)

Riding around town
Have a night life
(Have a night life)

(Ooh)
I know what you been looking for
I think I got all that and more
I can show you
(Yeah)

I think I know what you been trying
Saying, "Everybody wants a little time."

Come when you call me
Come when you call me

Will you pick me up from my hotel?
What you thinkin'?
Will you pick me up from my hotel?
What you thinkin'?

Hey, lay, black skin
Don't you fancy it?
I can't get it right

I know just how it's gonna be
I think if you want alchemy
I wanna tell you what I see, ooh

I know what you like and I
Think that I could fill it right
Put a lot of plays in my time

Maybe I'ma bring you
Right here like I want
Back to the street
If I ever really ever follow hope

Back to the street
(Back to the street)

(Tell me a story, daddy)

You should see what I'm doing now
Let's never guess if I told you how
You should see what I'm doing now
Let's never guess if I told you how

You can say whatever you gonna say about me
(A-M-E-R-I-C-A)
You can say whatever you gonna say about me
(A-M-E-R-I-C-A)
You can say whatever you gonna say about me
(I like you, I like)
(I like, I like, I like)

(A-M-E)
(A-M-E)

Stay in your room, get in your bed
Maybe they can get me inside your head
Everybody thinks that they know better
I know you better

Stay in your room, get in your bed
Maybe they can get me inside your head
Everybody thinks that they know better
I know you better

(Tell me a story, daddy)
