Revision as of 09:27, 8 November 2020

"Color Blue" (also known as "The Color Blue" and "Wild on You) is the tentative name given to an unreleased song by Lana Del Rey. The official title of the song is unknown as it is not registered on any music publishing sites. It was produced by Fabrizio Argiolas.[1]

Background

The song was recorded in 2013 and comes from the same session as "Cherry Blossom".

On May 1, 2019, a snippet was leaked on a Tumblr account. The full song was leaked minutes later. The Tumblr account which posted the song could not confirm the official title of the track and claimed that it had never been given a name by Del Rey or the producer. The titles of this song and "Cherry Blossom" were under "Track 1" and "Track 2". The full instrumental leaked on June 5, 2019. The acapella of the song was leaked on November 4, 2020

Speculation

Some fans speculate that the track is called and has been registered under "Wild One", however this is likely false since the tracks were produced by two different people. Although after a fan uploaded the track to Youtube, it was copyright-striked as "Wild One (Fusion Mix), so it is also possible that this track is a demo for "Wild One", but this is currently unconfirmed.

Lyrics

What cruel world is this, nectar of the gods
Heroin gold in my veins and you in my thoughts
I’m on the freeway, racing at a million
And I just can’t stop
I call you up twice, hang up the phone
Call again, I wanna talk to you

I get wild on you baby
I get wild and fucking crazy, like you never knew, knew, knew
I get wild on you baby
I get wild and fucking crazy, like the color blue

What sweet world is this, honey on the vine
School kid dreams came true then passed in the night
I used to dream about people like you, now I don’t know why
I used to sing about people like you, now I just get high

I get wild on you baby
I get wild and fucking crazy, like you never knew,
I get wild on you baby
I get wild and fucking crazy, like the color blue
I get wild on you baby
I get wild and fucking crazy, like you never knew, knew, knew
I get wild on you baby
I get wild and fucking crazy, like the color blue

Californ- I-A, homeland of the gods
Once I found my way, but now I’m lost
