"Caught You Boy" (also known as "I Want You" and referred to as "I Caught You Boy") is an unreleased song by Lana Del Rey. It was produced by James Dring and Jody Street of The Rural on May 5, 2010. The song is not registered to any known music copyright service.
Background[]
A snippet of the song preceded its leak in full on May 16, 2016. The original file of the song then leaked on August 15; it was titled "I want You - The Rural DEMO". The studio a cappella surfaced on September 22, and a vocal outtake containing new lyrics leaked on May 19, 2017. Another vocal outtake stem leaked in .wav format with the title "Audio 1_03" on August 17, 2024. A demo of the song is rumored to exist.[S 1]
Del Rey acknowledged the song during an Instagram livestream on July 27, 2017, mentioning that it is amongst her favorite unreleased songs and that she would include it on a compilation album of her favorite leaked songs, if she ever were to release one.[1]
