Blake Stranathan (also known as Blake Lee) is an American guitarist, songwriter, and producer, best known for working with Lana Del Rey. A former Berklee student, Stranathan has been a guitarist for Del Rey since she began promoting her first major-label studio album Born to Die.
Background[]
Stranathan has been Del Rey's guitarist since the Born to Die Tour (2011–2012) and has since a part of every tour since, including the Paradise Tour (2013–2014), Endless Summer Tour (2015), Festival Tour (2016), LA to the Moon Tour (2018), Festival Tour (2019), the Norman Fucking Rockwell Tour (2019–2020) and the Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd Promotional Tour (2023–2024). He is credited as a songwriter on three tracks from Ultraviolence and playing the guitar on four of them, marking his first time collaborating with Lana Del Rey in recorded material.
Stranathan was also featured in the video for "Summertime The Gershwin Version", alongside fellow tour band member Byron Thomas and producer Zach Dawes, among others.
